Tiivistelmä
Digitalization is having an effect on all aspects of the Finnish society, and within that frame, the causes and effects have mostly been research from the viewpoint of commercial ventures, and society in general. In the case of not-for-profit organizations (NPO’s) there has been much less academic research or structured discovery on how particular organizations see the phenomenon, and are planning to overcome its risks and harness its effects.
The largest pensioner’s organization Eläkeliitto commissioned this particular thesis as the groundwork for them to map out what their members and most important stakeholders are expecting from them as they are proceeding towards the year 2030 within a shared operating environment. A theoretical framework was created to structure the effects of the digitalization phenomenon in relation to the Finnish society, and after that an eDelphi questionnaire was formed to analyze and assess the views and expectations of all important stakeholder groups in relation to Eläkeliitto’s activities and its role in the Finnish society by the year 2030. The final outcome of the work was a structured program model for Eläkeliitto to utilize the key points of the findings and to use them in steering the organization forward in a cohesive manner.
