Tiivistelmä
The Paleoproterozoic Häme Belt is known to have several gold occurrences, mostly orogenic in genesis. There has been and still is active mineral exploration in the area. In this thesis, geochemical and geophysical data from the Geological Survey of Finland was used to produce a prospectivity model to guide future considerations and exploration in the NW Häme Belt, for which no such models have yet been produced. The modelling was impacted by self-organizing map (SOM) analysis, and the final processing was done implementing fuzzy logic methods. The result is a prospectivity model that is reasonably validated by known occurrences, at least considering the available data, which during the study was found to be limited.
