Tiivistelmä
In the current context, the largest share of R&D investment is allocated to the business sector accounts, whether studies show that public research structures perform at the highest level in terms of technical capabilities. This research discusses the success factors impacting the realization of an effective Public-Private collaboration. Its objective is to emphasize the importance of these collaborations and identify critical success factors empowering a collaborative knowledge creation and its management.
Both qualitative and quantitative approaches were exploited in this study, the first via literature review and semi-structured interviews, the second by the means of a survey. This study contributed to the creation of a causal model based on the TOE framework, the empirical analysis is empowered by a survey where public laboratories were targeted to provide trustful insights on the relevance of the chosen variables and success factors. The findings of this research demonstrate a strong connection between the determined success factors, where most hypotheses were validated. Also, the determination of focus points that permit the enhancement of an effective knowledge management strategy within a collaborative framework.
