Tiivistelmä
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) has emerged as a transformative technology that offers significant potential for enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs and improving productivity within organizations. This Master's thesis explores the concept of RPA, its benefits and disadvantages, potential use cases and a comparative analysis of RPA with other integration and automation possibilities. The focus of this research is on understanding if RPA could be effectively employed within Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).
To understand the practical implementation of RPA, the thesis conducts a case study analysis involving a select number of use case examples. The study investigates the challenges faced by these organizations, their motivations for adopting RPA, the implementation process and the resulting outcomes.
In conclusion, this Master's thesis sheds light on the potential of RPA as a transformative technology. By presenting a comprehensive analysis of RPA's benefits and drawbacks, exploring its possible use cases and comparing it to other integration and automation possibilities, the research provides valuable insights to SMEs looking to leverage RPA for enhanced efficiency and productivity. The findings and recommendations of this thesis contribute to the existing knowledge and serve as a foundation for future research in the field of RPA and its utilization within SMEs.
